In memory of Rocco Filippini

Rocco Filippini has passed away.

He was one of the greatest cellists of our time and he will be missed.

I wish to remember him for his art as well as for his elegance, his irony and his character.

The sound of his cello was “imperial” and it will stand as a reference for the next generations of musicians.
