{"id":3686,"date":"2016-02-12T10:57:18","date_gmt":"2016-02-12T10:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/interraditoscana.it\/fone\/en\/?p=3686"},"modified":"2016-05-13T09:07:32","modified_gmt":"2016-05-13T09:07:32","slug":"the-pink-panther","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fone.it\/en\/the-pink-panther\/","title":{"rendered":"THE PINK PANTHER by HENRY MANCINI"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>THE PINK PANTHER<\/strong><em>\u00a0(<\/em>Fon\u00e8\u2019s Pink Panthers<em>)<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>6 New renditions of the historic theme signed by Henry Mancini, performed for Fon\u00e8 by: Fausto Mesolella, Enzo Pietropaoli, Eleonora Bianchini, Riccardo Zegna and Giampaolo Casati, Peo Alfonsi and Salvatore Malore, Scott Halmiton\u2019s trio with Paolo Birro and Alfred Kramer.<\/p>\n<p>Among the thousand <em>divertissements <\/em>that keep spinning into Giulio Cesare Ricci\u2019s mind, there is a particular piece that was seemingly written for all the audiophiles of the world: The Pink Panther, the theme composed by Henry Mancini for the namesake Blake Edwards\u2019 1960s movie.<\/p>\n<p>All the artists that recorded with fon\u00e8 and Giulio Cesare Ricci in 2015 were asked to create their own version of the Pink Panther: <strong>Fausto Mesolella, Enzo Pietropaoli, Eleonora Bianchini, Riccardo Zegna &amp; Giampaolo Casati, Peo Alfonsi &amp; Salvatore Malore, Scott Hamilton in trio with Paolo Birro and Alfred Kramer<\/strong>. They all gave birth to truly original performances, rather than merely trying to mimic the original theme. The six new Pink Panther versions were recorded in a perfect analog style, with both Ampex ATR 102, spinning at 76cm per second with half inch\/two track tapes, and the renowned valve Studers from the 1950s (yes, those used by the Beatles) spinning at 38cm per second with one inch\/two tracks tapes.<\/p>\n<p>Fon\u00e8 will release two versions. The first is a long-playing vinyl, yet spinning at 45rpm (it is worth reminding that the speed of vinyl is directly proportional to its quality), with three songs on each side. Moreover, there will be a super audio CD \u201cThe Pink Panther &amp; Friends\u201d, including all the single recordings featured in the vinyl version plus one piece by each of the artists that took part in this sonic adventure.
